Bowfell

Rightclick disabled

Bowfell is one of the best-known summits in Lakeland, a grand mountain rising at the head of Great Langdale, the district's most popular valley for walkers. The most usual route of ascent is via the east ridge, known as the Band, though there is an interesting option branching off to the right known as the Climber's Traverse - an route that gives access to Bowfell Buttress for rockclimbers as well as an interesting route to the summit for walkers via the edge of the Great Slab.
